MARMET Arrests Marion Man For Aggravated Possession Of Drugs

MARION, OH- A search warrant resulted in the seizure of 116 grams of methamphetamine and one firearm on Thursday.

A search warrant was served in the 1800 block of Marion-Greencamp Road by the MARMET Drug Task Force with the assistance of the Marion County Sheriff's Office, and Marion City Police.  The search followed a month-long investigation into the sale of methamphetamine.

48-year old John Ottaviano of Marion was arrested and charged with aggravated possession of drugs which is a second degree felony.  He is awaiting formal charges by the marion County Prosecutor's Office.

In a press release, Sheriff Tim Bailey said, “I am grateful for the hard work of the MARMET Drug Task Force and Marion Law Enforcement for continuing to aggressively go after those which trafficking drugs in our community.”

Marion County Children's Services assisted MARMET at the scene.
