MANSFIELD, OH- The third annual Shriners Golf Outing at Westbrook Country Club helped to raise money for Shriners Hospital transportation needs.

"We care for children no matter the parent's ability to pay, that being said if you're here in Mansfield you might not be able to get to Erie, Pennsylvania, Philidelpia, or Cincinnati, so we have a local unit here that transports you to the corresponding hospital," Mike Miranda of the Al Koran Shriners said.

Shriners Hospital has been serving children free of charge for 97 years across the country.

"The Shriners Hospitals care for children who need burns units, who have cleft palates, spinal issues, and orthopaedic.  Orthopaedic is a large portion of our care we provide children," Miranda said.
