ONTARIO, OH - A stolen boy scout troop trailer was recovered at a residence in Galion.

On September 9th, Boy Scout Troop 170 reported that the trailer that they kept at St Paul Lutheran Church on 2010 Park Avenue West had been stolen. Once the Ontario Police Department received the report, they issued a be on the lookout for the trailer.

On September 11th, Detectives from the Ontario Police Department posted on social media that the Boy Scout Group Trailer had been stolen, and that anyone with information is asked to contact the Ontario Police Department.

The following day, an anonymous tip came in saying that the trailer was spotted in the City of Galion.

With the help from the Galion Police Department, Ontario Police Detectives arrived at 318 Sherman Street in Galion.  Authroties then received a search warrant and upon inspection, the trailer was located at the back of the residence.

The trailer had paint and decals covering logos and text of the Boy Scout Troop. Representatives from Boy Scout Troop 170 came to the house and confirmed that the trailer was indeed theirs.

Tools from the boy scout troops were located inside the house, such as several laptops, electronic items, IDs, various safes, and lock boxes. These items were released back to the boy scout troop.

The Ontario Police Department also confirmed that other items were found within the residence as a result of the search warrant, such as prescription bottle containing green vegetation, four meth pipes, a wicker box containing meth pipes, a clear bong, a glass jar, and a black tray with a razor blade.

No arrests were made as a result of the search warrant.

The case remains under investigation.
