METRICH Arrests Four On Drug Charges

NORWALK, OH- Four people were arrested on drug related charges on September 16, when the Huron County Sheriff's Office and Detectives from the Willard Police Department executed a search warrant at 5144 U.S. Highway 250, Lot 76, Norwalk. The search warrant is the result of a drug trafficking investigation that was conducted over the past several weeks.

Evidence of drug abuse, drug possession and drug trafficking were found during the execution of the search warrant. This resulted in the seizure of suspected methamphetamine, MDMA (Ecstasy), a loaded firearm, criminal tools and drug paraphernalia. 

Zachary A. Miller, 25 and Sabrina M. Love, 23, both of Norwalk were arrested. Both were charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of criminal tools, and having weapons under disability.

22 year-old Gerald J. Altman, and 21 year-old Clarke J. Berkey both from Norwalk, were arrested for permitting drug abuse. 

The evidence collected as a result of this investigation will be sent to the Mansfield Crime Lab fro testing, additional charges are expected to be filed upon completion lab testing. The Huron County Sheriff's Office and Willard Police Department are members of METRICH Enforcement Unity, a 10- county Drug Task Force.
