One Arrested In Marion Drug Bust

MARION, OHIO - One man was arrested early Wednesday morning after members of the MARMET and METRICH Drug Task Forces executed a search warrant at the man's residence.

According to a media release, the MARMET team obtained a search warrant for a residence in the 850 block of East Church Street, and executed that warrant around 7:30 AM Wednesday morning. During the search, officers found a loaded .45 caliber handgun, nearly 500 ecstasy pills, 18 grams of what is suspected to be Fentanyl, 16 Oxycodone pills, and $1,055 in cash at the residence.

The suspect, Keair Key, was arrested on gun and drug charges. Key was later charged with Weapons Under Disability, a felony 3, aggravated possession of drugs, a felony 2, and possession of fentanyl, a felony 2.

"I am very grateful for the hard work of the detectives assigned to MARMET Drug Task Force and to the citizens of Marion County for continuing to call in tips," said Lieutenant Chris Adkins, who is a member of the MARMET Drug Task Force. "Our partnership with the community enables us to continue to arrest drug traffickers and make our community safer."
