SHELBY, OH - Families attended the Marvin Memorial Library in Shelby today to interact with the Little Buckeye Children's Museums newest exhibit- a mobile exhibit.

This new "Vet Clinic" will start at the library and then travel around Richland County to help promote development and age appropriate play.

Executive Director of the Shelby Foundation, Carrie Kimmer said the vision for a mobile exhibit all started two years ago with a conversation she had with the Director of the Marvin Memorial Library, Kathy Webb.  "And I said Kathy, if money wasn't an object, what would you want for the library? She said, Carrie, I love the idea of bringing imaginative play to the library."

Webb envisioned an exhibit for children which would give them an opportunity to interact with imagination and books. "We have looked to prepare children to go to school," Webb said. "This gives them the opportunity to explore, to work together and to just learn about life."

Executive Director of Little Buckeye Children's Museum, Fred Boll said the mobile exhibit will remain in the same location for eight weeks before traveling to the next location. According to Boll, the Museum already has a variety of fun and exciting exhibits planned for the children, including a construction exhibit.

More information about the traveling exhibit can be found by visiting the museum's website at littlebuckeye.org.
