PLAIN TOWNSHIP, OH- The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash that occurred Thursday afternoon. Troopers responded to a crash on State Route 95 in Plain Township, in Wayne County.

25-year old Joshua W. House of Shreve was traveling southbound on Jefferson Road, approaching the intersection of State Route 95. He failed to stop at the stop sign as 65-year old Dayle Tucker of Wooster was westbound on State Route 95 approaching Jefferson Road. Tucker's 2009 Ford Focus struck the driver's side of House's 2011 Ford F250 forcing it off the south side of the road and struck a tree. Tucker's vehicle would come to rest on Jefferson Road south of State Route 95.

Tucker was pronounced dead on the scene. She was wearing her safety belt at the time of the accident.

House was transported by New Pittsburg EMS for non-life threatening injuries. He was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol Crash Reconstruction Unit, New Pittsburg Fire, EMS and North End Towing were on scene.

The crash remains under investigation at this time with alcohol and drugs not to be suspected as factors in the accident.
