MARION, OH- The Marion City School District is honoring military members and first responders on September 13.

The district is inviting all members of the armed forces, active, reserve, and veteran, as well as first responders to their Military and First Responders Appreciation Night at Marion's first home football game against Newark.

The ceremony will take place on the field prior to kickoff.  Honorees get free admission to the game and special seating will be available in the stands as well as on the field.

Marion Schools Superintendent, Dr. Ronald Iarussi said in a press release, "It’s important that we show our appreciation to our service men and women, active and veteran, and the Marion community’s first responders... We hope all these incredible individuals will attend the game so we can say ‘Thank You’."

To RSVP for the event, email or call 740-223-4413.  Honorees will enter through the ticket gate and will meet at the north end flag pole at 6:30pm.
